Vow to learn 5.4 paragraphs a day, with review on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monda<\/strong><strong>y<\/strong>: See that the first 3 paragraphs are the introduction to the desert box. Decide to skip Monday&#8217;s portion, since I already know it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday<\/strong>: Remember that I agreed to tell a story on Sunday, and check notes to remember which one it was. Oh, yeah &#8211; &#8220;The Great Family.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday afternoon<\/strong>: Life happens all day. An unexpected day trip to the neighboring town.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday night<\/strong>: Dear Husband wants to watch a movie together.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, 11:30 p.m.<\/strong>: Dear Husband and dear children are asleep. Curse decision to tell a story this MONTH, much less this WEEK &#8211; doesn&#8217;t everyone know how busy I am? Sit up in bed, to avoid falling asleep, and learn story as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, 1:00 a.m.<\/strong>: Fall asleep. Plan to take a break from committing to storytelling any time soon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, in the wee hours of the morning<\/strong>: Sleep fitfully, waking occasionally to rehearse a paragraph or two, awake shaking from a dream in which the assistant rector is snatching Godly Play figures away from me while I try to tell the story to my class.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, 10:10 a.m.<\/strong>: Tell story. The circle is engrossed, and their wondering is far reaching. Once again, I am refreshed and renewed by what I learned from the children.
